Q: Sex After Letz ( Cone Biopsy) During Pregnancy ?

Hi everyone. This is my first post here, so I hope I've worded it appropriately...

My wife had a letz procedure (cone biopsy) several months ago and it was a large one to remove cancerous cells, we've just found out my wife is pregnant. As the topic of suturing the cervix has been mentioned.

We are concerned about sex and whether something like an orgasm could be detrimental later on to the cervix once the second trimester is reached... should we wait until the decision is made regarding the suturing process or indeed until the procedure is completed/healed?

Thanks for reading

This would be a better question to ask her doctor, since he knows her history and the extent of her cervical condition. Sometimes, when they put a stitch in the cervix to hold it closed, they suggest not having sex. But no one but her doctor will know her exact situation.

Good luck!! Congratulations on the pregnancy, dad!

Thanks for the congrats, Ingi.

My wife's GP has referred her to an Obstetrician to see about the suture, so I guess the answer is "wait until we see him/her"

Thanks for the quick reply Smile
