Is it wrong to ask your bf to get a circumcision? All my other boyfriends have been circumcised and I just thought it was a good idea to have him circumcised or at least some of his foreskin trimmed off.

I don't think it is wrong to ask. If you plan on marrying this man, anyway. When men aren't circumcised, there can be a lot of hygiene issues that go along with the extra skin. It can be smelly, infectious if not properly washed. If you don't plan on marrying this man, you shouldn't even bother asking because circumcision at a late age is extremely painful. My nephew just had one at age 7 and he was VERY much in pain.

I knew a guy who had one as an adult. It was very painful. It got infected at some point and took a really long time to heal. Before it was completely healed, he had sex. Bad idea. He ended up in the ER because he had opened his incision with sex. Blech. You can ask. But I'm willing to bet your boyfriend is pretty attached to his foreskin at this point.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm just worried he will get the feeling that I don't like his penis the way it is. I think he really likes his foreskin so it may take a lot of encouragement on my part. He has a long foreskin so I think surgery might be painful for him and may take a long time to heal.

I think if he makes sure it is cleaned well by pulling the skin back and cleaning underneath, it will help your situation out a lot.

I kind of like looking at the penis head but it is hidden out of sight. I wouldn't mind a little foreskin but his is real long.

Yeah, I can see that. How come there is a double-standard for boobs? If my hubby told me he would buy me new, bigger boobs, I'd do it...but that doesn't mean its ok for him to say that.

It doesn't really smell he washes it very well. I think circumcised penises look better I just want to see his penis head when he walks around naked. Besides getting yeast infections sometimes but it could be his lotion that he puts on his penis sex hasn't been bad. I just think we may have problem in the future with his long foreskin and getting it circumcised now will help.

it may help but you could be hurting him really badly which is unfair

dont ever compare him to your other bfs
so what he isnt circumsized?

I don't compare him to my other bf's but he is a lot bigger then them. My mom and my sister has asked if my bf is circumcised but I have been ignoring there question and they just told me if he isn't I need to get him in to get circumcised because you may have problems in the future.

my husband and my boy dont have circumsed penis and i like it like that i dont think is wrong doing it but you have to respect his decision and as longest he is a clean person it shouldnt matter.

Circumcision is not necessary- it is not dangerous or anything as long as he takes showers like everyone else (and if he doesn't you have bigger problems than a smelly penis) Really- don't do it. If he wants to get circumcised, that can be a private decision that he makes for himself. Men are very sensitive about their penises, (which they should be!) Circumcision is NOT medically necessary- it is a social issue of genital mutilation. Please don't make him do it! Anyway, it probably makes sex better for YOU (because the most sensitive part of his penis is covered).
