i have sever stomach pain just below my rib cage, as well as nausea (most of the time) and vomiting after meals. I have seen a doctor and she has prescribed somac, which made it worse when i took the medicine. Had an ultrasound for gallstones, and that was negative. the pain is really bad, and i am having trouble eating and going to work , as i feel sick all the time. any ideas? i am getting really worried.

Even when an ultrasound is clear of gallstones, you can still have gallstone disease. Are there other tests in your future? An Upper GI? Endoscopy? If the medication is making it worse, something else needs to be done.

Good luck.

Am waiting to see a gastro person at the hospital. have been on the waiting list since may. went to a new doctor and he thinks it may be a dysfunctional gallbladder.
