I Fell Last Night And Now I Have Tremendous Pain Posted: 03-28-04 00:36am
Hi everyone...
My names davy and I am 26. This morning
leaving for work I slipped off the top
step of my porch and landed on my butt and
I swear to you I was crying it hurt so
bad. To add into the formula about a year
ago in a car accident I compacted (i
believe thats it, it got squished down) my
l1. The doctor never treated me for the
problem he just treated the pain so I just
kind of been living with it. Before I
fell this morning I had back pain more
severe than most other times last night.
It actually woke me up.
Now I really have a tremendous amount of
pain around my lower back upper butt
region and everytime I take a step it
kills me. I can't twist while I am
standing up, and honestly it hurts to sit.
Being that it's a weekend, my family
doctors office is closed, I was wondering
what action would you all recommend to me
(what action should I take, emergency
room, etc.) and if anyone had any
recommendations for me to ease the pain
and make it thru today and tomorrow
because I have to work tomorrow. Also
does anyone have an idea of what might
have happened this morning when I fell on
my butt? A quick response would be very
useful and I would be eternally greatful

Hey, im so sorry that you fell. But
personally I would go to the er, they have
xray machines etc. They can find out what
really went on, and if anything is broken.
You might have cracked your tailbone
(sp). I would go to the emergancy room,
especially when you have to work tomorrow.
That way you have pain meds, im not so
sure I would go to work though lol.. Good
luck .. Hope I helped ya a little..

Dave, go to the er now, do not wait. Your
back is nothing to fool around with. And
it is hard to treat or diagnose back pain.
