I have been on birth control for almost a month now and started spotting about a week ago. I is a mixture between the brownish discharge and the fresher looking blood. I was warned that this would probably happen but i was wondering about how long it should last... lol it is putting a damper on my new sex life... Embarassed and i was just wondering when i could look forward Wink toit stopping? thanx

Vague questions we can't really answer! Every woman is different.

It *should* stop within three months, that's the best I can say.

Yep- every woman is different. But any side effects should go away within three months, if they don't, you'll want to switch to something else.

For me- I had some light spotting for my first 3 months exactly on the pill, and now it's fine.

But remember, you can have sex while you're on your period. I promise that blood won't come spilling out of you or anything. Some women, myself included, enjoy sex during their period even more.
