Ice pick headaches
I started getting these headaches in April. I thought someone had shot me in the temple with a taser gun the first time I got one. I started taking Advil every 4-5 hours and it didn't totally get rid of them but kept them more under control.
I consulted with a Chiropractor who practiced Homeopathy. She suggested I try Ignatia amara, 200 ck is the dosage. I took 3 under my tongue then 2-3 hours later another 3. The next day I did the same thing and they have resolved. The thing about homeopathy is you don't take it long term. If you try this and it doesn't work after two days it's not the right formula for you.
You can get it at Whole Foods, Jimbos and other alternative markets. It's about 12 dollars. The best money I ever spent
I hope this helps others. These headaches are miserable.

My doc doesn't believe me either.
I'm 17 and I've been having these type of headache for over 2 months now, they sound the same they last only seconds but my skull hurts for like a minute after... my doctor said the symtoms i was describing didn't exist and to stop waisting his time... I really don't know what to do now, they hurt so bad and since i'm on a ful time IT course they really don't help my concentration. When I first got them i though i was dying from a tuma or something... i still don't know what it actually is i just hope its this and not somehthing worse... I guess i need to go to another doctor to find out whats wrong...

dizziness/tiredness
Just a quick question...

I'm 16 and have had daily icepick headaches for the past 8 months. Sometimes (once or twice a month) I get extremely tired/dizzy for a few hours after a headache. This has been going on since I started getting the headaches. Does anyone else get this? If so, what can I do to stop it?

They say if you have the worse headache of your life, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. No question.

Even if it's a migraine, there are effective treatments out there. You need to find the one that's right for you. You don't have to suffer like this. Go to your regular doctor or a neurologist that specializes in headaches. There are preventative medicines and ones that work when you feel a headache coming.

Ice pick pains
I have had bouts over a three year period. I found that inhaling deeply through my nose then exhaling from my mouth stops the pain instantly. Sometimes it does take two breathing treatments. Works better than any meds and is instant. Has to do with oxygen supply is what I am thinking. works everytime with me. Don't be scared
