Did everyone have a baby shower for their first baby??

I'm thinking about not bothering with having a baby shower. Here are the following reasons why:

1. Dont like being centre of attention.
2. Dont really have alot of friends to invite to it and any that i do invite i'm afraid they cant come.
3. My mum and sister have to do an up and back trip to be able to come.

The extra things that i might get would be very handle i'm sure but i'm wondering is it worth the anxiety and stress of it all!!

What would you do?

Especially eHealthy

i didnt have one mainly becuz i was up here in IL and didnt have any friends or family to invite to it lol. And i've been told that u arent supposed to have baby showers for second and children thereafter that its *tacky* lol so i didnt have 1 for Caitlyn either.

Extremely eHealthy

that must have been hard being in a place with no family or friends!

I'm still in my home town but all of my really close friends have moved away. I'm very shy when it comes to meeting new people so thats why friends nearby are very limited.

*sigh* oh i dont know!!
