How Long Do You Wait to Get Tested for AIDS?

I need to know how long I should wait to
be tested.
I was not exposed that I know of but I
wrote a thread here about trying to get my
girlfriend tested.
How long is the amount of time you can
wait and it pretty much give you a
definate result error free?

Are you thinking of taking standard test
for HIV infection?
This test is greater than 99 percent
accurate.
Are you considering to make home testing?
Do you know that there are rapid tests for
HIV that provide accurate results within 5
to 40 minutes?
Six months is enough long period to get
results correct for HIV testing.
Any positive test is confirmed as true or
false with performing another test.

I think you should wait 2 weeks before
going to get tested.

The proper waiting period for correct and
accurate results to an HIV test is 3
months.

Well, it is very risky behavior...if you
are trying to get an STD then thats the
way to do it...really, that is so not
smart.
