At night when I go to bed I get pain in my left arm and hand that makes me jump out of bed. After I get up the pain subsides to just between my middle finger and ring finger. I stay up for an hour, cool down, try to go back to sleep and bam, it's back. I can't sleep more than a few minutes at a time. I am a carpenter so I'm aware of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. This has been going on for thirty three years. I've been to the doctor many times but they never suggest surgery even though the specific test shows I have the problem. Other odd symptoms are that when I go into a big box store like Wal-Mart or Home Depot my hands swell up, itch and turn white. When I drive they swell and itch but biting my fingers seems to help. They last Doctor I went to x-rayed my shoulders and perscribed Gout medicine, Vitamin D and blood pressure medicine. I don't have Gout or high blood pressure. The pharmacist questiond me about it so I didn't take the medicine or go back to the Doctor. I just want the pain to stop.
