Q: Test Early Test Often for HIV? ( unprotected vaginal sex )

Hey guys and gals, this is a little long winded but I hope you'll understand.

Former addict and brief needle user (almost zero chance of HIV transmission from that due to bleaching), but what I'm REALLY worried about is several instances of unprotected vaginal sex with someone I met in rehab (smart, huh?) who sold herself for drugs at one point and was a needle user about 18 months prior. Sadly she's back to her old habits, but that's a different story.

Our last encounter was early August... probably (95%) the first week, definitely no later than the 10th (I'm working on the exact date). Now, we both had blood tests upon admission to rehab and I'm ASSUMING they screen for this in addition to the fact she's been to several other rehabs that undoubtedly did blood work as well. My point is if she knew, she would've said something, and there's a reasonable chance she would have known.

Naturally I'm still concerned (can you tell I'm trying to minimize this?). It's been approximately 2 months since our last encounter, and over four since our first (the first several being in may and early june, the very last one being in august with nothing in between).

So FINALLY I get to my question: would you get tested NOW and a month or more from now (for the magical 3 ), or just wait? Should I just stick with the standard antibody test? Any and all advice is welcome!

Repeat testing is usually recommended at 6, 12, and 24 weeks after a suspected exposure.
Standard test is greater than 99 percent accurate.
Can you remember of having flu-like symptoms two to four weeks after first unprotected intercourse?
