Q: Painful Nipples

Recently my nipples have been feeling quite sore. It's been going on for quite some time, and it's not linked to my period. I'm only 16 years old, so I'm not pregnant or anything. They feel quite sore to touch, it's almost like a burning feeling if I touch them, and it looks as if the skin is starting to crack and flake on my nipples :/ They look quite red as well. Also, there is no discharge.

I doubt it could be anything serious, I'm only getting more concerned because it's been going on for ages now and it's uncomfortable. Is there a reason why this could be happening?

Age doesn't mean you couldn't be pregnant. If you were having sex, you could be.

I'd try putting lotion on them if they're so dry!

Painful Nipples

you may need to chage your bath soap.... sometimes different fragrances irritate the nipples. Do you have eczema? that will cause the nipples to be sore and crack. You can also use vitamin e oil on your nipples... it will help with the cracking and flaking of your skin.

I have been experiencing painfull nippile for about three weeks now. I am currently on antibiotic medication for Viginal Yeast infection. Coul this be the course?
