There are a few conditions causing cystic
lesions in the lungs of a fetus which are
all very complicated. In short if the
cysts are multiple and tiny, there is a
poorer prognosis especially when
accompanied by hyrops (excessive water in
the fetus) or other fetal anomalies. Some
conditions with lungs cysts are generally
harmless.
Here are some of the conditions which you
could look up more information on:
Congenital High Airway Obstruction
(CHAOS)
Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation
of the Lung (CAML or CCAML)
Bronchopulmonary Sequestration
