I'm from TN and my daughter has bad asthma so nothing like sitting down to eat and looking over to see her gasping for air. Finally it has went into effect at the begining of this month. My smoker friends don't like it but I think it's a great thing esp. since my daughter has that as a trigger for her asthma

They just passed a law here jan. 1 2008 no smoking in cars with minors, you will be fined.

theres no smoking in a few cities here in san diego, as well as all beachs and some parks and recreational centers

Jan 2008 in my town no smoking in any business place except bars/ motels. Smokers need to be 20 feet from the building when soming out side. I'm glad because. I don't like to smell it on my clothes. I don't think a non-smoker should have to be exposed to someone elses habit.

Georgia you must be from northern MN? My hubby is from Elk River area. I've never heard of the band of not smoking in the car with children I'd be so thrilled if that would come in here.
