okay
busy buys busy weekend
on saturday we went to houston to take travis friend home
well that was a 4 hour drive...after we dropped him off we went to travis aunts house to see her new baby caden who ws just born:) he was a month preemie and weighs 5lbs 6oz
when we got to his aunt jodis it was soooo cute
travis was all into caden and asking his aunt lots of questions about haveing a baby and all and what it was like. he watched her change his diaper and everything and then he goes " awww i want one"
LOL i thought that was cute

anyways so about 15 people were at her house plus us because all of the family came to see the baby. and so all his aunts and uncles are there and all the girls were talking about the shower and stuff because all of his family is driving down from houston on the 13th for the shower (so exited its almost here!)
so the boys (travis his dad and his uncles) were in the garage talking and hanging out

travis aunt is a photographer and she took some pics of me and trav which i LOVE even though i look like a fatty...
so pics are below

well anyways so we left houston about 7 and we had a 3 hours drive back...so travis starts talking about his uncle clints new job at an electricl company makeing 30 bucks an hour Shocked
so i guess travis uncle offered travis a job...he would be an apprentice electritian and get started at 10.50 an hour and he would work from 7 to 3 every weekday and off weekends unless he wanted to work on saturday then he would make time and a half
but thats in houston
so how would he work in houston?
well his uncle said we could MOVE in with him (hes got a huuuuge house)
so now...travis wants to move back to houston agagin after we already had all of this igured out and i said no he wants to go again
and guess what?! so do his parents Confused

so im mad about that and im still sticking with NO im not going
sorry but i dont want to be that far away from my family
its not fair and wouldnt be fair to my parents at all if i just left and had the baby up there
they would never see us Sad

ok so nough about that
i have a Dr appt wednsday and im going to go see my mom whom i havent seen in like a month

oh and the puppy is doing great!!!!!!

so ill shut up now...here are some pics!!!

this is conner hes one of travs cousins
he belongs in the chub club!!!

me and trav
i love this picture

and the pics of caden are still on my camera which is in the car so ill post them later!

Honestly, if moving means a stable income for you and your child then you should do it. It is not about being close to family it is about taking care of your child.

\\but heres what i dont get
he could be doing that HERE
he could go to work at an auto shop and make 10 bucks an hour
and here i can work too and make money
if we live there i cant. i couldnt bring dogs in his uncles house they have 4 of them already Sad

i dont know what to do
im so torn about it all. and i dont get why his parents want to go back when they worked so hard to leave all of that behind

But as an apprentice he would have more of a future making more money and obtaining insurance, etc. Why would you want him to work in an auto shop if he can obtain a position that could lead to a $30 and hour position in the future?

i know it is hard even thinking about moving away from your parents, but if its the idea of a better, stable life then you should definately go for it.

i know
thats whats hard about this
and we would have to go for 10 months and then we could come back and they would transfer him down here
but if we did go wed have to go in march at the latest
kristen would be only 3 months old and my mom wouldnt get to see her daughetr or grandaughter for 10 months!!! and i feel like crap because my mom is so exited
it would really break her heart if i said oh mom im leaveing to houston for a while and you wont be able to watch your grandaughter grow up during the most important and amzeing aprt of her life...

i guess with me its not about the money its about family
weve got a great family and great support and a great life
a great opportunity here too. and houston isnt the best place to live and raise a child. i know it would be good money but money isnt everything right now

im trying to think about whats best for my child and for me and travis relationship and its just not moving that far away Sad

But in all honesty it is about money and doing your best for your child. Your mother can come and visit as well. To me you are thinking about what is best for YOU, not your FAMILY, which now includes TRAVIS and your DAUGHTER. Babies are expensive and you will need medical insurance for your daughter after she is born. Emotional support won't pay for the things you need in the future and thinking it can is immature.

My husband have been moving around allot lately and it has all to do with his jobs. He had to find a good steady job and that sometimes means moving away from people.

Take the job with opportunity. That will help you in years to come. Remember that with babies you need to think longterm.

I live pretty far from my family but I talk to them almost every day on the phone. Get unlimited long-distance and it's not to bad.

sorry, but i'm with everyone else on this one.

also, you said you're going to see your mom soon who you haven't seen in a month. if you don't see her while you're living that close, what's the difference between moving 3-4 hours away and not seeing her? you can still have monthly visits, it's not that far.

Ok, but that is not the point. You need to think about your future and when you got pregnant it stopped being about you and started to be about your child. You made the decision to get pregnant and must now live with the consequences.

yeah but how is moving that far away a consequence? i dont get that at all
i make good money
travis has the opportunity to make great money here too
mechanics make alot of money and he loves working on cars

plus we move out there we cant bring our dogs so we'd have to find a place for them
if anything was to happen im stuck hours away with no way of getting back here

You can always get a job in Austin. The consequence is you having to leave your family to get a better opportunity for your child. Travis becoming a mechanic does not offer as good a future as becoming an electrician. You should also consider what he wants for Kristen and your future since he is a part of the family as well. Moving is better for your family and that is what matters.

Life is scary. You have to do what you need for your daughter. She is way more important than anything else and you have to make choices based on that now.

Aw I love those pictures! And about moving, it's yours and Travis's decision. Don't let anyone make that decision for you. If I would you, I would sit down with Travis and talk about the pros and cons of moving, and decide together. Good luck on whatever decision you make.

LOL I wish! I told Thomas (as a joke) that I'm going to ask my doctor if I can have a mudslide on Sunday for my 21st birthday. I can't wait to have a few drinks after Dante is born. I know that sounds bad, but I'm not a heavy drinker. My last drink was about 2 years ago. lol.
