So Much to Buy, So Little Time!

Ah, another vent....sorta! I can't believe
it's already October!! That means if I
have Dante on time, I have about 8 weeks
left to prepare for him. I really have
absoulutely nothing for him..a few
onesies, a few diapers, and that's about
it. I have so much to get and I want it
all by mid October, just in case.
And of course, all the really big things
like the crib and stuff, I have to get
myself (and Thomas will pitch in too). And
I've already looked at cheaper cribs at
gargage sells and stuff, and no...they're
all not anything I would use.
 I need my
birthday money soon, so I can go buy stuff
that he really needs.

I looked but, shipping for the big stuff
is soo expensive. I'm going to Target and
Walmart for all but the crib. And that I'm
getting at Sears, and it's under $200.
Plus Walmart and Sears has free shipping
to their stores so I can just pick them
up.

I'm not buying a cheap crib...yea the
price is $200, but it's sturdy and really
nice. I'm not getting a bassinet...there's
no point, because he will already be in
the same room with me in the crib.

Well the crib set and car seat are Classic
Winnie the Pooh. And 8 more weeks if
I'm lucky. My mom says that she has the
feeling that I won't make it to Halloween,
and strangely, she's usually right about
that stuff. She says I'm carrying him so
low, and being on my feet at work and
dealing with the stress of everything
isn't going to help. But we'll see. I can't wait to see
him!

that's the crib we have in oak.
anyway, there's no reason the baby can't
be sleeping in their crib from day 1.
there's no risk of suffocation if she
takes the proper precautions. newborns
can't really move around so as long as
there's no loose bedding, they should be
fine.

the stress from work and being on your
feet all the time
isn't helping..

I agree. My family never used bassinetts,
only cribs, and we're all alive now. Plus,
that would be more money to buy a
bassinett and THEN buy a crib.

if you really want a bassinet, pack n
plays come with a bassinet attachment.
that's what finn slept in for his first 2
months in our room. it wasn't a waste of
money because now i use it without the
bassinet as a playpen.

LOL, I talk to him every night and tell
him to stay in there till November. Crazy, but hey,
it's normal to talk to your belly. My
fiance thinks he'll come this month too,
because he swears that I've dropped. I
wouldn't know if I did, until I go to the
doctor Thursday and Friday. But I do have
to go to the bathroom a lot more. lol.

Yea I have one of those in my registry,
but I don't want to buy it myself yet. I'm
trying to keep the costs down, and so far,
I have no clue when or if I'm getting a
shower.

Aw that's sweet. lol. I'm trying to put
together a small one at a restaurant for
me here in a few weeks, but all my friends
are broke college students, so I don't
expect someone to buy my a car seat or
crib. lol.
