I have a knee problem - I have a tear in the medial meniscus in my left knee. This is due to wear and tear. I have had a steroid and anaesthetic combined injection in the knee.

I am having very bad headaches - would theis be due to the injection?

Please help!

Infection and swelling are the most common side effects of steroid injections to the knee joint. Were you given cortisone? In general, cortisone injections are extremely safe. And side effect last for 1-2 days after the shot. If you are concerned about these side effects...talk with your doctor but it seems likely that your headache is a symptom of another condition, maybe the stress and anxiety caused by the procedure?
