Q: Lump Behind Ear

I have this lump behind my right ear, in between the hairline and a little above my ear lobes... its painless and it feels like a bone almost, just a lil soft. I remembered I've had this since i was a child, it comes and goes... and now I'm 25 still comes and goes... what can this be? I also had it checked out like almost 7 years ago the Doc said it was nothing... I also had this lump on the side of my right neck, similar to my ear it also comes and goes as it pleases. It doesn't hurt but can get irritable and seem to grow if i keep touching it. Over the years it doesn't increase in size its always the same size when its swollen or what not... I'm getting very worried with no insurance sooo if you have any idea what this can be pleasssse help i'd appreciate it. thanks!

hey, i had a coupl of lumps behind my left ear a few years ago and the doc told me that it was just my body fighting an infection, we have lymph glands on the back of our heads and on our necks so, that may be what it is...my lumps stayed there for about a month or so and then went away and never came back. Hopefully that's all it is for you!

Ask your doctor if it could be fibrous dysplasia.
