Ok. I need some help. I had a pap smear at my new Dr.s a week ago. He had a really hard time finding my cervix, positon is tilted. In and out. Bigger spectulum them manually with his hands. Overall he was in there like 10 to 15 minutes. It was getting uncomfortable and I was feeling a little pain. The next day and for the next week my vagina is soo sore. I hate to be gross but its hurts to wipe. Then a week to the day it started to finally feel a littel better. My husband I and I had sex and he was gentle. That night my vagina hurts so bad in the same place. I finally had to look there and I got a mirror and I have this big red blister like swelling on the inside of my vagina. Oh this is embarassing. I have never had problems or issues like this. But I have been in pain since this pap. Is this normal? What should I do? I would appreciate any advice...
Thanks Tee

Honestly I'd go back- you want to make sure it isn't any kind of infection. It's not really normal. A little soreness is normal, but not for that long, and not blistering/swelling. Perhaps he scratched something or irritated something, and it's possible that bacteria could've gotten in there.
