the Bruising Wont Stop Spreading Posted: 09-29-07 19:01pm
i was running my gym class in socks and i
was trying to slide on a mat, i stumbled a
little and my big toe bent under my foot
and i pretty much stepped on it. I heard
and felt a crack and my toe went instantly
numb. I had the nurse look at it and she
suggested i go to doctor, so i did about
an hour later. I had x-ray done and it
showed no break. My toe currently (2 days
later) is black/red from the toenail down.
There is bruising that has formed on the
side of my foot and also is spreading up
my foot and to the left. Is there anyway
to tell without tests if this is ligament
damage? I've stubbed my toes numerous
times and never has the bruising spread
across my whole foot. The main swelling
is right in the middle knuckle of the big
toe.
