I'm just curious.. Jenny's 10 & a half months old & she shows absolutely no interest in feeding herself... if I give her food to hold she either squishes it or throws it, like she does with her toys. She doesn't like most textures either, she's still on stage 1 baby food (4 months ).

I think Kaylee was right around 10 or 11 months when she started feeding herself. Jenny might just surprise you though because Kaylee was the same way, I'd put food on her tray & she'd play in it, but I swear it was the next day & she was feeding herself! Jenny'll get it!

I don't know the exact age Adriana was, but I put 9 mos. I don't think she was older than that tho. But Adriana also started solids really early. My nephew didn't do solids, or feeding himself until he was closer to a year. All little ones vary!

finn has always been a little piglet and started feeding himself around 7 months. it might have been a little sooner than that, but i know it wasn't any later.

the first things we put on his tray for him to feed himself were the gerber puffs. he'd been on stage 3 foods for a bit though and those are very chunky and textured.

all babies are different. i'm sure she'll get it soon! finn went from playing with them but showing no interest in putting them in his mouth, to shoveling them in!

Brayden started eating finger foods at 6 months. He would try to grab and eat things before then but I wouldn't allow him to eat solid anything before 6 mo!

Ava was around 6 months. The same day she started crawling I started giving her cheerios. She took to it right away. Now I break her food up and she feeds herself unless we're having spaghetti or rice and gravy or beans. You get the picture.
