I was on the depo for 3 1/2 years and now my husband and I are trying to conceive and have experienced 2 miscarriges within a year span. I have been off the depo for almost 2 years and have been told because of the depo it can cause temporary but inability to have children. Any links? Does anyone know?

No. To my knowledge, taking depo does not increase your chances of a miscarriage later in life. Yes it can cause temporary infertility but ALL hormonal birth control does that!! Depo is not special.

I ended up getting pregnant with in a month or two after being on the shot for 2 years. When shots first started it was said this could happen but not now they know alot more and it shouldn't be any different from any other BC. Best of Luck to you guys!

It can cause temporary infertility right after you are off of it- but if you got pregnant in the first place, that's not your problem. So I bet it's not the depo. I hope things go better for you!
