Q: Cough With Blood - health anxiaty and hospital phobia

I have had a bad cough for last few weeks went to see doctor who said i had a chest infection so got antibiotics
but when i cough hard i am bringing a little blood up with the phlegm am starting to worry
even thou i keep telling myself it is proberbly due to coughing so much
doesnt help i suffer with health anxiaty and hospital phobia

First of All!

Is the blood you are bring up bright red or is it pink? And is it just coming up as little spots on the tissue or is it alot like globs or more. If it is the second, go right to the ER NOW!
If it is just little spots, it could be you broke some small blood vessels just coughing real hard. Call you dotor ASAP to make sure. Might be time to put aside your phobia and consintrate on you health issues. Alot of people have "White Coast Symdome" or "Hospital Phobia". Sometimes the help you may need is more important.
