SO...i was two months late..and FINALLY got my period. It usually lasts about nine days and this time, only about twenty four hours. I am taking birth control, but have only been taking it a few months, and my period is acting up. It was not normal (color wise) but was very dark and NOT like usual. I was very happy to have recieved my period, but like I said, it was not what I had expected. I was going to take a pregnancy test, but you have to wait about five to six days post bleeding to get exact results. I have read online that dark quick periods are a sign of the egg setting into the uterine lining and it tearing away, but I am curious if anyone has experienced something similar? I am not sure why everything is off in my body considering i take birth control for this very reason, and my boyfriend lives 800 miles away? let me know! thanks!

Taking birthcontrol....canreally mess up your periods and body at first.
If it was implantation bleeding, it would not be the same consistency as a period. Implantation bleeding is usualy just spotting! It can occur over a few days...but again, just spotting.
It sounds like you had a period which was influenced by you recently starting the pill. If you are two months late for your period...a pregnancy test would most likely be accurate by now!
If you are still worried, call you doctor.
