Q: Spotting One Week Prior to Period

For the past couple of months I have had spotting exactly one week before my period is due. I have not had it any other time during the month. I am 37 and I have had my tubes cut and burned 13yrs ago. I have an ovarian cyst but not sure if that is what is causing the spotting. I also have gained weight and I am not sure why. Perhaps this could be fibroid related? My mother had fibroids when she was 42 and had to have a hysterectomy. I am having trouble emptying my bladder fully too. I don't know if this is because of the cyst pushing against my bladder. and i have a problem with constipation. I am just wondering why all of the sudden I have this bleeding only one week before my period and no other time. Thank you for any help

Considering all your symptoms and your history, I would get checked out. You want to make sure nothing serious is going on.
