Q: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - Question About Cortisone Shot

When receiving a cortisone shot in the wrist, should I be feeling a snapping/bursting feeling in my fingers? If not, what kind of long term effects could come from it? I also could not extend my middle finger for a good 45 mins. after the shot. Should I be worried?

Thank you for any info that you can offer me.

Got Shot 2 Weeks Ago
I got my cortisone shot in the wrist about 2 weeks ago. For the first 48 hours I could not move my entire hand/wrist/fingers with out being in so much pain. After that time period I have had very little to no pain at all. Until recently when I move my wrist too fast or try and reach for something... I get a feeling like my nerves are breaking. It is really hard to explain. My nerves feel like they are tingeling and moving around. I contacted my doctor and she said that she has never heard of that happening before. Since it only happens about 4-6 times a day and only lasts for a few minutes, I am going to waiting for my doc appt on January 11th. Any idea what is going on?

Thank you!
