Q: Allergic Skin Reaction to Insect Bite - how to treat ?

My girlfriend recently got bitten on her leg by an insect. The area of her leg gradually swelled to the size and hardness of a tennis ball. She had a nurse puncture and drain this. After this happened the skin under the area is now white instead of her usual brown. This happened roughly 8-10 weeks ago. She has applied Bio-Oil to help but to no avail.

Would anybody have any ideas how to help or treat this.

Thank you.

I know that witch hazel is a natural disinfectant. Sounds like an extreme infection. Has she seen a doctor?

Extremely eHealthy
Sounds Familair
Did anyone mention anything about a Brown Recluse Spider bite to you or her? This sounds too familair to me. Is there a hole where the bite was? If this is indeed what it is, she has to follow up and maybe have it drained again. Ask what to put on it. Warm or moist heat or cold.
