Yeah- it could've been too early. The later you test, the more accurate it is. If you're only three days late, and you tested a week ago, that seems early to me. I'd wait until after the missed period and try again.

yes. the first day of my last period was august 24. its now sep 28 and no period.

I would test again in the next few days. Also make sure you test with your first urine in the morning. The test could have been defective my first one was negative but low and behold I was! Good Luck!!

And make sure you read the package directions- they will tell you when the test is most effective, some are different than others. Some you have to wait until a week or two after your missed period, some you can take before, some you can take during, but all are more effective the longer you wait.
