well, that was exciting! he had the hiccups or something and his while tiny body kept jumping, it was so cute!

heartbeat is in the 160's, it seems to be the same as finn's was at every appointment (because it's another boy, mandi!).

here he is! it doesn't look too different from last week's...

That's so exciting Bridget! So you think it's another boy? Wink I probably missed this somewhere along the way, but why are you having a lot of ultrasounds? I hope nothing is wrong!

nope, nothing's wrong! i had one around 9 weeks because i'd had some spotting and cramping, so because of my previous loss they gave me one to put my mind at ease. then last week around 11 weeks, i went in for the nuchal translucency scan but they'd scheduled me too soon, so that ended up just being a little sneak peek and i was rescheduled for today. i shouldn't have another until nov 21, when i'll be around 20 weeks.

i think the old wives tale is something like over 140 it's a girl, under 140 it's a boy?

whatever it is it didn't apply to finn.

we listened to the heartbeat via doppler after my u/s and the nurse was saying "that's a girl". i just thought it was funny that a nurse would be basing that assumption on the heartbeat when it's just an old wives tale.

i forgot to mention that the tech was going to try to get a peek at the gender, but he had his legs tightly crossed. i thought it was way too early but she said she was highly trained and if she could see anything it would be probably 75% accurate. nothing to paint the nursery over but it would have been fun to see what she thought. oh well.

I usually have a guess as to what gender, but i don't favor one over the other.
I can't wait for you to find out, unless........ they can't tell!
