Q: How Do I Know All the Bad Cells Are Gone After Hysterectomy?

I just recently had a total hysterectomy. I still have my tubes and ovaries. The pathology report stated that I had the start of cancer. How do I know if it has spread to tubes and ovaries? Does the pathologist know how far it has spread?
Also, I have trouble with bowel movements. I go 5 or more days without going. Is that normal after this type of surgery?

What kind of cancer?

The pathologist can see if you have 'clear' margins. Meaning they took all the precancerous cells.

Trouble with bowel movements is common after this type of surgery. I'll pm you a website for hysterectomy advice/help. Smile
