As you all know I recently started a new position as a Veterinary Receptionist. I love my job so far and everyone there is great....except for one woman.
On my third day (yesterday) she worked. It was the first time I had met her and somehow the general topic turned to tattoos. I mentioned I had a few and she immediately started talking about how 'I might think it is an adult decision but it isn't' and that I do not know what I will want 'when I get older' (ie when I am not an immature spoiled brat). I was soooo mad.
She then preceded to put me on filling duty and then made a point of telling me to leave files sticking out a bit so she can recheck them and make sure they are in the right place. Excuse me but i know my ABC's you idjit. She even did so and then announced that an Ae file was in with the Aa's. I did not file that particular one but no doubt she thought I had.
After all this everytime I asked for help she would get all uppity. At one point I let her know that a client was a new patient and did not have a chart and she just glared at me and said ' I know that' in the nastiest tone possible. She couldn't believe that I might know more about the client (she had called the day before and I knew the did not have a chart and had also double checked to see if one had been made.)
I am pretty sure it did not help her mood that I was polite through all of this. I made sure to say please when I asked a question and thank you when ever I received an answer.
Some people, UGH!
