I've been on birth control pills for years, so it's not due to adjusting...does anyone else find that they still spot on occasion? I never spot actual fresh blood...I'll just get some brown in my discharge sometimes. This week, there was one day where I took my pill an hour after the normal time...could that be why? (Also, that won't affect the pill's effectiveness, correct?) I've been getting the light discharge for the past couple days. Also, I've been extremely stressed lately- does that cause spotting? Thanks for any responses! Wink

Don't know what to tell you! I had the same thing on the ring I had a period early and then had the same brownish blood light for about a week then had like a 2day period agian. By then I was on my 4th week so I had to take it out. Now it has all stopped. I don't know but would like to hear what others have to say!

Unless you're on the mini-pill, an hour late won't matter, and won't cause you to spot either.

Most birth control has the effect on me of making my period go away all together, so I don't have this problem.

However, I've heard it can happen, and I know that off of birth control, we can get random spotting for many reasons. Stress, food, exercize, diet, etc..... it's probably just an anomaly.
