Did anyone see this movie??? It was one of
my favorite movies. Do you remember
Milton and the red stapler? And when they
kept moving his office until they moved
him in the basement???
Well...
There is a lady at work who grinds on
everyones nerves. She only works part
time and the rest is made up for by
workmans comp - back injury. Well, she
shouldn't even be working in our office,
but they can't fire her because of fear of
a lawsuit. So she continues to work
despite being given the grunt work in the
office.
She also happens to share an office with
me. She used to be up front, and then
they moved her to a very small office, but
then, she got moved to my office. My
office had two desks, so it was ok at
first...she was supposed to have left or
be taken off workmans comp in March, and
she is still here.
She has always gotten on my nerves, but
the past few days it has gotten really
bad. First off, she doesn't like my radio
station or the fact that she can't hear
it...I only keep it on for background
noise, not for the music. So because she
can't hear my radio, she brought her own.
Well she doesn't listen to my station, so
she wears headphones. Not so bad.....YEAH
RIGHT!!!! So now she hums ALL DAY LONG
and
absolutely drives me crazy. She can't
hear how loud she is being so she does it
even louder...
Yesterday was the last straw. I had a
very important report that had to get done
by lunchtime...well my boss passed me in
the hall and asked how it was going, and I
told him I would get a lot more done if
there wasn't so much humming noise in my
office...just joking with him...(its kinda
an ongoing joke with what she actually
does in the office.) And he said, Ok thats
enough, you need to be able to concentrate
and do your work...we are going to order
you your own desk...YEAH!!!!!!
I am so excited. Yesterday they ordered
it and today after she left, we moved our
old desks out and made room for my new
desk... So now I will have my own office
all to myself to listen to whatever I want
to and not be distracted. You have no
idea how nice this is going to be.
So as for her, they moved her again to a
really small desk in the corner of our
conference room. I just keep thinking of
Milton from Office Space...I hope she
doesn't attack me when Im not looking or
blow up the building or anything...
I hope you guys don't think Im being mean,
you have no idea how long I have been
waiting for this, and how hard it is to
share an office with this woman. It is
just really hard to explain it to you
without you knowing her...
