Q: I Hate My Job!!!

Ah, I'm so so so sick of Kohls already!! I can't wait to go on maternity leave, and hopefully find a better job after that so I don't have to return there. I checked my work schedule for this upcoming week, and guess what......7 days in a row AGAIN! And despite my doctor's note, they're still scheduling me about 6-7 hr shifts, esp on the weekend. Twisted Evil

And to top it off, while I was working today, I was by myself back at customer service, and the shelf of one of the bins fell. Of course it just had to have like 5 plates and 2 bowls (the heavy ones of course!!) on it, and they all came crashing down on my foot. And I was wearing flats. Sad So now my foot is all swollen and bruised, and I'll probably go have my doctor check it out tomorrow to make sure its not sprained or anything like that. Sad

Anyway, that was long...thanks for reading! Very Happy Hope you girls are having a better day than I am.

Oh heck no! Whoever makes the schedule, I'd walk right up to them and be like "Here is my doctor's note saying I can't work more than x amount of days/hours. You have had plenty of notice of this. Please change my shifts." And if they didn't comply, I'd take it up with their higher-ups.

They won't change anything if they feel they don't have to. You'll have to get serious with them. Sad

Well they will usually change it when I ask them too, unless I talk to the store manager. He's just a D1Ck. This Saturday, I was over scheduled by like an hr according to the doctor's note, and he said "well, it's only a little over, we'll bring you a chair for the last hr because we don't have anyone else to close'. AHHH! Oh, and I didn't get a lunch that night either. AHHH!

If I can get in to see my doctor tomorrow for my foot, I'll ask her to write me a new note saying no more than "5 hrs a day and no more than 4-5 days a week" End of story.

You shouldn't have to request for them to change it, and it's also not your fault that they didn't have someone else to close. They should have had you come in one hour later or something, or Mr. Penis manager man should have roughed it and closed.

I would seriously consider speaking to the district manager or Human Relations if they don't resolve this when the next schedule comes out.

Yea I should talk to someone other than the managers from this store, because it's getting ridiculous that I have to tell them that they've wrote my schedule wrong for the 6th week in a row.
