Ok have any of you heard of hermaphrodites? It is when a baby is born with both male and female genitalia. I was watching a show at like 1 am on discovery health called is it a boy or is it a girl? Anyway they said it isnt as rare as we all think. Theysaid it happens in like 1 of every 2,000 babies born. The screwed up thing is that it is neccessary to due surgery while your infant is an infant. But as they mature and develop, how would we really know what they were? Would they act like a male or female? Isnt that scary??? There is also a 30 percent higher chance of your child being a homosexual! Yesterday the ultra sound tech said its a boy but come back on april 26th when im like 22 weeks to be sure. They said the reason some mistake babies as a boy is because the clit could look like a penis becuase it is abnormally large. I grabed my u/s pic of his pee pee and was staring at asking everyone " r u sure it looks like a boy?" lol it scared the hell out of me! ~ erica.

Lol I couldn't help but laugh at your description of staring at your son's penis ultrasound!!!!! It's true its not as uncommon as people think but the likelyhood of it happening isnt that great! And he does have a penis so thats a good sign!!!!!

Lol I just had to give it a better look! Just to be sure. The recpetionists told me that the u/s tech is excellent at determining gender and as soon as she put that thing on my belly within like 2 minutes she said it looked like a boy. Although I wanted a girl, I had this gut feeling as well as my man that it was going to be a boy. Im sure he is a he though. ~ erica

Me and my hubby discussed that, and what sex would we pick. He didn't even want to think about it and just dismissed me. It's a scary thought.

I worried about that all the time too erica!! And I always thought she would turn out to be a he. I was so freaked! I had bought all kinds of girl stuff! I think all pregnant women go through that and doubt the accuracy of the determination of their baby's sex.

I watched a programme about it where they had to do surgery & the parents chose what sex the babies would be.They often made mistakes & the child would be made into a boy but feel emotionally like a girl and vice versa. The surgery was very graphic but the condition is a rare one-it's also very sad because these poor children went through a lot of trauma & confusion in their lives Sad
