I am new to the board but I noticed there aren't any forums for Sarcoidosis, Bronchiactasis or Emphysema. These are three things that I have and I know that Sarcoid. is an autoimmune disease. I also have Raynauds Disease.

Is there anyone out there that have any of these diseases?

I had the lung biopsy. Where do you have the sarcoid? I can't believe someone actually read and responded to my question.

sarcoid
Thank you for that link. I'll check it out. I have sarcoid in my lungs, my eyes and my sinus. I haven't had any problems with it for a few months, but recently it's flaired up and I've been kind of miserable. it's so hard bcs there's not a lot that can be done to help it...at least not that I've been told. I'm still doing research on it. I'll be checking that link you sent now...thank you!! Deb

Cookieface, isn't it surprising how little is known about this disease. I have it in the lungs but so far hasn't gone anywhere else. Good luck!

How have you been feeling lately, Melin? I know that stress is one of the triggers for Sarcoid and I've been hit with a lot of it the past month or so and my symptoms have been flairing up more. I sometimes forget that I am "sick" until I get out in the cold air and my lungs hurt so bad I can't breath, or other symptoms manifest and I'm all, "Duh, I'm sick. Gotta slow down." I hate that. But I'm grateful that I'm still able to work and live a pretty normal life overall. Hope all is well with you. Deb

I am doing pretty good actually. I had a spell a couple of weeks ago where I felt like I had the flu, I had a temperature, and just ached all over. Thankfully, it didn't last long. The Raynaud's on the other hand has been terrible. I had one finger that went numb and turned totally white. The doctor wanted to see me and said that it could get so bad they have to take of the finger tips.

You take care and stay out of the cold. That is horrible for me too! Happy Holidays.

try the bernie mac foundation, he had recently died of sarcoidosis, and all his procedes and such go toward more research. I had recieved alot of information on this disease from his foundation, due to the fact my grandfather had this illness, and knew so little of it. It can help those who want help themselves live day to day with the symptoms.
