Recently I was diagnosed with Syphilis. I am an insulin dependant Diabetic.
I currently live abroad from my native New Zealand where I was diagnosed and due to the short period period of time that I was in NZ my doctor was unable to give me the intermusclar injections of penicilin. He instead gave me an extended dose of tablet form penicilin. Should I have gone and got a blood test to check that the syphilis had cleared up? I am asking this as I have noticed that my blood sugars have gone totaly out of control again and am thinking that the syphilis may not have completly cleared up?
