Hi, I was just wondering when the earliest time is that a woman can take a pregnancy test after sex? Basically, its been 6 days since we did it, and the day after we did it was when she was supposed to get her period. Shes irregular anyway, but we're just super worried and were wondering if it was too early to take a test yet, and if so, whens the earliest to take it?

Thanks!

Its way too early. It wont show up yet. Its hard to say when bc she was supposed to start her period a couple days after yall had sex. I would wait another 2-3 weeks and then take a test every 3-4 days.

Ok well, in order to get pregnant she has to be ovulating! Now every ovulation chart I have followed was on average of 12-18 days after her a/f.

In english- you ovulate about 14 days after your period, since you had sex one day before her 'expected' a/f date the chance of pregnancy is almost non existent. Now I am not saying it is impossible, but if her periods were regular it would be next to impossible. Since they are irregular it is possible that she is just skipping it, or because of the trauma of sex it could delay it a few days. I would suggest her seeing a gyn to get her period straight, like the pill or depo.

Good luck and be safe next time!
