Yes. If you were ovulating, or near ovulation, you could become pregnant during your period. The chances are low, but it is still possible. Everyone seems to know someone who got pregnant while on their period.

If you do not wish to become pregnant, please get birth control. There are many available options from pills to condoms. You need to choose what is best for you.

Unless you are very carefully monitoring your cycle and know exactly when you ovulate, there is NO safe time to have unprotected sex.

Probably not. It wouldn't stop your period.
