Hi Rosie,

I have nothing against gay marriages. I was raised to be open-minded even though I lived in a very conservative area. I believe everyone, no matter what their sexual preference, has the right to find love and happiness.

I don't think anyone's private sexual activity should be monitored by the government or laws. I realize that every state has it's own sovereignty and that has caused a rift in balance for gay marriages. But I regard sexual preference as a private choice, and should not be subject to religious persecution.

I have no problem with gay marriages. If 2 people really love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together I don't think their sex should matter.

I would rather see 2 people of the same sex that are commited to each other than a person of either sex that will sleep with anyone. Not meaning I want to see PDA. Don't want to see affection outside of hand-holding, hugs from anyone. At least not on public.

And I agree with lonestar. two people commited to long term should be privvy to the same benefits as hetero marriages. If gay marriage is not affecting you personally and it bugs you, you either have too much time on your hands or are like most nosy religoius fanatics who think they know what's right for everyone.

I replied on your other topic. Summary? Gay marriage = awesome and gays should be able to have children too!

Eiri, agreed! I would much rather see a child placed with two stable loving parents of the same sex than stay with biological parents who will abuse or neglect it.

I really don't agree with invetro or surrogate parents for homosexual or heterosexual couples because I believe there are already too many children out there who need good homes without bringing more into the world. I don't think there should be any discrimination toward a couple just ecause they're gay when it comes to adoption.

Definitely pro-gay marriage!

Just as you can't control what you're attracted to, neither can gay people. That's just the way it is. Why descriminate based on how someone 'is'?

If two loving, consenting people want to commit themselves to each other, why hinder it?

I'm proud that I live in an area that has legalised Gay marriages.
