last night my boyfriend and i were getting very physical and we had sex for the first time....i think. i'm not sure if that was his first time or not, but it was mine. in fact...i've never inserted ANYTHING whatsoever in my vagina. So when he was trying to get inside me, we tried many positions to let it in but it never happened so we ended up just resolving to rub crotches together basically. if there was no insertion, am i still a virgin?

Grinding
"grinding" your genitals on each other is not sex. it is simply sexual stimulation. yes, you are still a virgin.

Right, no penetration = still a virgin.
If you are going to be sexually active, you need to be on birth control or use condoms.

You also NEED to find out if he's had previous sexual partners, or you could be at risk for STD's. These are things you should always know before you try any sexual anything with anyone. And use a condom. And birth control.

But no, rubbing like that is not sex, so you are still a virgin, if that's your criteria. You decide when you are not a virgin anymore, because it only really matters to you!

It wasn't wasted if there was a chance he had std's. He still could've given them to you, even if there was no sex.

Well I dunno... I think according to the Bible oral and anal sex can also be a cause of losing your virginity, lol. So maybe just rubbing genetalia together counts as sex by the Bible as well. I think by the Bible if you have cyber sex you lost your virginity too! Haha... not that it matters. Ignore me if you're not religious.

I am religious, and the Bible doesn't say anything close to what you've said. It does not dictate how far in the penis has to go for her to not be a virgin, and it does not discuss virginity in relation to anal sex or oral sex.

WELL
Technically. im actually going to say you lose your VIRGINITY once someone has sexually stimulated you... to the point of an orgasm. the fact isusually thats fitting for the definition of virginity. so even getting fingered is losing your virginity... but thats just TECHNICALLY... but nowadays its been summed up to having sex. so it all depends on how you look at it.

hah well i didnt orgasm that night lol
but i see what you mean. thats pretty much how i see it too. thats why im sick of this fad thats going around..all these teens are participating in the "silver ring thing" and thing they're all that cuz they made a vow not to have sex till they're married..yet they're still fooling around. it sickens me.

Re: WELL
So I can have plenty of sex but no orgasm and still be a virgin according to the technical definition?
I suppose I'd rather teens "fool around" then have all out sex-- as long as they get that risks other than pregnancy are still involved.

I am sooooo confused. Did you have sexual intercourse or not? 9/23/07 you are asking if you are still a virgin and then on 3/25/08 you said you were not. So, are we responding to an ealier post?

Since this was 8 months ago, and you were laughing at your earlier post, I gather from that you ended up having sex with this person. How old are you? Are you using protection? I lost a brother due to AIDS. People think STD's will not happen to them, well, guess what - it did? We lost him in 2001.

I am so glad that you are having safe sex. Birth control pills are good for pregnancy, but as you know, do nothing to prevent STD's. Make sure he is always using a condom (even if you trust him 100%) - it is your life we are talking about - I have experienced the loss!
