happened to me. give it a couple of days and it will be gone. it was probably caused by too much friction.

A couple of days ago during sex i felt a pinch and then burning in my labia, and it was enough to interrupt intercourse. I looked down and almost fainted because my inner labia had started to swell up and continued to swell. I went to ER and by then it was huge, it was the size of a lemon, no joke. They didn't know what it was and sent me home telling me to come back if it hadn't gone away in a few days.
It's been 4 days and is only somewhat better, the swelling has gone down but it's still swollen enough that it pokes out through the outer labias and it is purple and painful. It hurts like hell to walk and sit in class.
I'm terrified becuase i can't find any info on this and i don't know how long it will take to heal or if this will happen again. I know it's not these things:
it's not an allergic reaction, or a sebacious cyst
please, has this happened to anyone else?

this happened to me about 11 years ago i was 16.......let me tell you that the doctors telling you to go home and give it a couple of days they are wrong....I went to the er because it hurt to walk and wear pants..Not to mention I was 16 and increidibly scared out of my mind....anyways it was called an absess to your vulva...and its an infection..they actually need to cut it open to release the pressure and get out the infection..My doctor explained it as being kind of like a zit. I stayed two days in the hospital after surgery and was then sent home with meds and told to rest for a week...NO PROBLEMS SINCE
