L1-2 SMALL DISC BULGE WITHOUT CANAL OR
FORAMINAL NARROWING

L2-3 SMALL DISC BULGE WITH CENTRAL PROTRUSION CAUSING MILD CANAL NARROWING
NO NEUROFORAMINAL NARROWING.

L3-4 DISC BULGE WITH CENTRAL PROTRUSION AND WITH THE CONGENITALLY NARROWED SPINAL CANAL
THIS CAUSES MODERATE CANAL STENOSIS MILD LEFT FORAMINAL NARROWING

L4-5 DISC BULGE WITH A LEFT PARAMEDIAN AND LEFT LATERAL COMPONENT AND WITH THE CONGENITALLY NARROWED SPINAL CANAL AND FACET HYPERTROPHY,THERE IS MODERATE CANAL STENOSIS AND SEVERE LEFT FORAMINAL STENOSIS

L5-S1 NO CANAL OR FORAMINAL NARROWING

I am in phisical therpy and they have me on
20mg of prednisone for 5 days I have severe
leg pain and back pain get verry litle sleep

How bad is this

Hi greatpicks, it is hard to say how bad your condition is, some people cope all right with this sort of pathology, it kind of depends on your age, if you don't need to move much, and you are in the twilight years, then there is not that much to worry about, people who are advanced in age often have this kind of illness.

I can say that all your lumbar disks are bulging, and there is some impingement of the nerves by a couple of your disks, you also have some amount of degenerative joint disease between the facet joints at the L4-5 level.


I think your situation is far from hopeless with a healthy lifestyle and some helpful therapy some sort of recovery is possible. none of your disks are ruptured which is a good sign it is possible for the bulging in your disks to ease.
