I lost my job in May and I am going for a typing test next week, then a phone interview then I will probably start a new job but in the mean time I've been crying and feeling alot of anxiety and I haven't even gotten the job yet. I'm afraid of failing I suppose and going to work and starting to cry and making a fool out of myself. I take a antidepressant and a low dose of xanax but I'm still nervous and feel like such a baby. I really want this job so what is wrong with me?

Hi filoloo, dont feel down. I read your post and see a mirror image of myself. Here is what I do. I hold my head up and say to myself I CAN do this! And if not, it is for a reason and something even better will come along. Most of us with anxiety are so worried about failing or being something that we are not that it drives us crazy. Just be happy with what you DO have and let everything else come. Someone once told me if its meant to be then it will happen. All we can do is hope but at the end of the day we are who we are and that is the greatest thing about life!

Good luck with the job

Joe
