Lobotomies.?
This doesn't happen anymore right?
Right?
Please tell me that doesn't happen anymore.
And if this still happens then why, and how can it be avoided?

Because of the stigma attached to the word 'lobotomy' the people who carry out the procedures call it 'psychosurgery'.
Since the development of anti-psychotic and anti-depressive drugs in the 50's the pratice of lobotomies has declined and is heavily regulated. It is legally practised in some US states, Australia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Finland, the UK, India, Spain and Belgium. Russia made lobotomies illegal in 1950.
That wasn't what you wanted to hear was it?
Lobotomies are really rare.

When will we learn, death is the better option to lobotomy, these people are better off dead. And for god's sake, it could be relatively painless.
