Hi!

As of last night (Tuesday 9/19) I was feeling pretty crappy. I kind of freaked out cause I had a green stool- lots of green, little bit of nausea, and today diarrhea (sp.) As of last night my stomach has been growling constantly. I never threw up, nor have a fever--just these two things--stomach growling and diarrhea. As of today, I did not have a green stool, but had to go the bathroom like every so many hours.

Could this be something I ate? All I had yesterday to eat was a chicken caesar wrap for lunch, loaded potatoes ( with cheese, bacon bits, chives, sourcream mixed in),and something else last night (can't remember)

You would think if it was something I ate it would've been out of mysystem alreday by now. My Mom thinks it's a virus or stomach bug.....it's not so much worrisome, but more bothersome ,esp. with the stomach growling constantly. I mean I am worried, but also annoyed Laughing

Any answers would be greatly apprecaited as to what people may think it is....

Did you eat anything that might have contained preservatives?

My stools turn green-ish after I eat lots of spinach, BTW.

How are you feeling now?

Green stool is usually caused when your stool goes thru your digestive tract fairly quickly. It's colored by bile, which is secreted by your liver.

When it goes thru you normally the bile turns brown as the digestive process works on what you've eaten. But when it passes thru too quick, it doesn't have the opportunity to do this, hence the green color.

As you had diarrhea, this sounds like the case.
