Hi, I am 16 old male, and I recently noticed how at times I am twitching all over my body. I am a very nervous person, and I am quite sure I have panic dissorder. However, lately I have been randomly jerking different parts of my body. I'm not really having muscle spasms, just I might jerk my shoulder, or my hand, or my leg or something realy fast. Recently I have been dieting A LOT. Like 800 calories a day diet. I drink a ton a water, and I recently stopped drinking about 3 big glasses of green tea every night. Please help!!

There are SOOO many different reasons you could be twitching... First off, see a doctor!! Rule out any kind of illness, disorder either mental or physical. If you're normally healthy it is most likely the diet and possibly from weening off caffiene. OR..you could just be growing! If anything, see your doc to rule out anything that could potentially be major. Are they like a twitch, tic, jerking?? Again, there are ALOT of reasons this could be happening. Also, refrain from dieting!!! Just eat healthy. Make sure your body is getting enough calories in a day. If you're burning more calories than you're taking in then that could be reason enough. Your body may very well be reacting to the diet.

It's just jerking, no muscle spasms or anything.

Extremely eHealthy
Could Be Something Else
This is just my opinion being a veteren of this horrific disorder but, with those symptoms, I would tell your physican if you all ready have'nt. Could be somehting other then what you think. I would get it checked out.
