Q: Sex During Period!! Is It Okay?

Hey everyone
I am on my period and my boyfriend couldnt control himself, so one thing led to another and we had sex. We never use a condom during sex, and he always pulls-out and i never been pregnant. The question I have now is Whether its safe to have sex while on the period??? Please advise.

I must also say that I had a tampon inside me, which of course got pushed up (but i was able to remove it afterwards).

You can actually become pregnant on your period.
The chances are lower, but it could happen.
You are also extremely lucky you have not fallen pregnant yet. Pull-out is NOT a reliable method, in fact it's not a method at all. There is sperm in pre-cum.

Secondly, remove ALL non-sex-related items from your vagina prior to sex, otherwise you are encouraging injury and infection.

I heavily suggest you get some condoms or birth control pills/ring/etc. Mad Unless you actually want to become pregnant, do not use the pull out method alone.

Just because you've never been pregnant doesn't mean the pull out method is safe!
There's still chances that you can get pregnant even though he pulls out before ejaculation. There is pre-ejaculation and it only takes ONE sperm out of MILLIONS to fertilize an egg.
I would highly recommend SOME form of birth control if you aren't going to use a condom. The last thing you need is an unwanted pregnancy.
And, you CAN get pregnant on your period.
Be smart, be SAFE.

It has nothing to do with cleanliness. You're just lucky. Don't expect it to last.

No, cleaning has nothing to do with it. It is pure luck you're not pregnant, and I'm no religious girl, but I pray your luck remains, otherwise you're in for a very rude awakening one day.

Like Georgia said... it could happen the next time you have sex. It could have happened this last time you had sex, even though you were on your period! Unless you are very careful and track your cycle with precision, there is NO safe time to have unprotected sex.

if you want to have a baby then why are you still using the pull out method? I would imagine your chances would be higher if it were in you Wink
