Not sure if I have the right forum since I have no idea what my problem is, but I'll give a shot at describing it.

Recently I noticed what appeared to be an ingrown hair on the inside of my upper thigh. I don't shave my legs (guy) but it still seemed like an ingrown hair or acne. A large round bump, irritated and red with some white appearing to be at the center. I ride by bike to and from class which recently REALLY irritated it. Every night the irritation subsides and in my morning brilliance, I grab the bike and ride to class again.

It's 1am, and its still a very very sharp pain and I last rode the bike and/or walked anywhere since 5pm. I grabbed a pair of tweezers and decided to do something about it. On closer inspection I realized it had become WAY bigger than any ingrown hair / acne / skin infection I'd ever seen. The actual bump was the size of a massive mosquito bite, but the sore hard area which I'd assume is part of the infection was near the size of a nickel below the skin.

I pinched it, and grabbed the tip with the tweezers. Just enough to get the skin right on top. I could barely feel the sharp grab, but as I pulled a tiny nick of skin away, it just gushed a disgusting red-brown puss. Really surprised me. I grabbed a paper towel and squeezed and it just poured more stuff than I'd ever though was supposed to come from a wound. Eventually it seemed to turn to straight blood, though theres still quite the sore below the skin.

Is this just some sort of inflamed infection? Is there anything I should/could do, and is there any reason to be worried?

Thanks for all help!
