A couple of days ago I noticed a cut or something near the end of my vagina. Near the hole where sex is usually practiced in. There's whiteedischarge - but there's no aches, pains, buring and or tinglling sensation when I urinate. I only notice it when I sit down. There is no red ring around it - dosen't appear to be a popped blister either, I'm really freaked out. Any ideas as to what it could be? A nurse I know said it was most likely NOT herpes, but what is it?

Suzy, pap tests do not test for stds! Pap tests test for CERVICAL CHANGES that are caused by HPV.

Your doctor can only test you for herpes during an outbreak. Please visit your doctor while this sore is present.

That said, it may not be anything other than normal wear. Were you wearing tight underwear that rubbed? Had you recently had active sex? Could you possibly have a yeast infection? These things can cause your vagina to become raw and sore.

It could be anything. If you have had unprotected sex lately, it could be an std, otherwise it could be ANYTHING. If you're concerned about std's, it's best to see a doc.
