Shaving Around Groin Area
Posted: 09-18-07 23:18pm

I shaved my pubic region ( area above the penis ) about 2 years ago, i am currently 17 years old. i shaved it with a razor dryly without using shaving cream or anything like that, i got alot of little red bumps a day or two later, and then i guess i got ingrown hairs too which ended up looking like boils i think, i duno what they are, but they wont go away and ive had them for 2 years or so, sometimes the "boils" go down and just looks like an area of redness but every so often they will swell up. I dont know what these are and i would appreciate some help, and maybe some advice on curing this? Im also still a virgin and i know i dont have any STD's or anything of the sort. Thanks for the help.

lol well i dont think it is an std because you havent had sexual intercorse...

it could be infected from when you first shaved it? have you tried using any medicaction on it to make it go away?

yeah its been there for about 2 years, im not exactly sure but its been there for a while, let me try to explain a little better exactly what it is, i guess a few of the hairs became ingrown or w/e and im assuming they got infected so they turned into what appears to be something like a boil. theres about 3 or so different red spots in the area and every so often they will swell up, and one of them has popped before a little bit and blood came out, hence why i think they are some kind of boil. yeah i know gross but i dont really want to show a doctor, i figure some kind of medicine or cream is out there but im not sure what to use. And once they swell up, i guess they just eventually pop and then go down and just become red spots ( more like bloches on the skin ).

Hey Suzy .... you always could make me laugh girl ...

Razor rash is soooo bloody painful, but after 2 years this really should have cleared up ... ingrown hairs however, ain't so compassionate, and will stick about under the skin and grow into your 'shaved area' .....
I used to shave, and it happened to me, once I accidently took the head off one of the 'lumps', it was itchy, so I scratched it. Shocked Embarassed and this long hair sprung out all coiled up, I put TCP, (which stung like mad) on it to sterilise the area, now I impulate those little blighters !!!!

I've had an ingrown pubic hair for around 10 years. I've never been able to solve the problem, and my only recourse seems to be rooting the damn thing out with a needle every so often.

Shaving one's nuts is highly overrated.

Had the same sort of problem before ok, I never let it go on as long as you did but it turned out to be an ingrown hair.

Go to the doc and see what he/she says, if you look closely you can probably see the hair under the bump.
